Whoohoo! We are so excited to partner with LEAF to begin holding disc golf tournaments on their beautiful grounds at Lake Eden. Our first collaboration will take place during the LEAF Retreat May 13-16 on Friday, May 14 from 1-3pm. Beginners are welcome as the course is very short and we will share some of the throw styles to kick things off.

The sport has EXPLODED in recent years, with the first-ever huge contract signed by pro Paul McBeth for $10 million over 10 years with Discraft. Tournaments pair four people together to move through the course, and there a quite a few top players from North Carolina such as Jeremy Koling, Philip Bartholomew, and one of the godfathers of the sport and author of Growing Up Disc Golf, Scott Stokely. If you want to check out a tournament and watch some of the best players in the world, check out JomezPro. And you can watch this video about the long and storied tradition of disc golf in North Carolina.

Most of us at Harmony are pretty obsessed with the sport–we even have a basket in our showroom’s yard and take putting breaks at 2:30 every day, and we can’t wait to continue to organize tournaments with local courses as fundraising events for causes that are near to our heart, like Save Our Stages and Asheville Strong. We have a passion for supporting the creatives that make our industry even exist, because without musicians, performers, and artists, we wouldn’t need speakers or screens!

If you can throw a frisbee, you can throw a disc, so if you’re going to LEAF, meet us outside Eden Hall at Hole 1 at 1pm for a short tutorial and we’ll have some swag on hand for participants with prizes for closes to the pin at each hole and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

If you’d like to sponsor a hole by donating some swag, please reach out to shawndra@harmonyinteriors.com.

To sign up, please fill out this Google doc. Limited to 20 participants.
